Hello my fellow crafters.
Thanks for stopping by.
Sorry for my general neglect of this blog. I am obviously still struggling to find the time or the inspiration to create and post.
It is now the middle of April and although Spring is in the air and we have had some nice days it has only been a couple of days ago that I had to scrape my windshield and drive on icy roads. That is spring time in Colorado 70 degrees and sunny one minute and snow the next.
But enough of that and on with the crafting. I actually made this project back in January and if you care to think back to that time and you live in the USA you may remember a little event known as the Superbowl. Now I know when I say this it is going to sound like sour grapes but officially I am not really a Bronco fan even though I do live in Denver. I was converted years ago by the hubby to be a Steelers fan. If you follow football at all you will know the Steelers season was more shameful than Denver's performance in the Superbowl. But who cares about any of that. This is a crafting blog after all and so since I had an orange t-shirt and a blue t-shirt and not a lot of imagination I repeated one of my last project with a few additions.
The basic t-shirt construction is the some as my last project.
To make the applique version of t-shirt.
Step 1 - Construct flat pieces front back and sleeves from the link above.
Step 2 - Sketch your design on some card stock or heavey paper and then carefully cut it out.
Step 3 - Find a scrape piece of fabric big enough for the design and iron some stitch witchery to the wrong side of the fabric. Leave the backing paper on.
Step 4 - Trace around the template piece with the template facing wrong side up.
Step 5 - Carefully cut out design.
Step 6 - Remove paper backing.
Step 7 - Iron in place on to shirt.
Step 8 - Optional - Top stitch along edges of design.
Step 9 - Repeat process for sleeve stripes.
Step 10 - Finish shirt assembly from original tutorial.
