Good Morning Fellow Crafters I do hope your day is off to a lovely start.
It is cold with a capital C here today. But I really shouldn't complain. We have had a very mild winter up to this point.
I think I might be cheating a little bit here on my true definition of upcycling as I usually like to use items that are no longer useful and make something that is useful. Although perhaps in this case my definition does still hold. It's just that I started with something that was new.
But let me back up a bit. You may or may not already know that I sell items on EBay. Here is a link to my store just in case you are interested. :-) I sell mostly secondhand items which seems to be in line with my whole upcycling, re-using green thing but as a business person I have also found that it is
prudent to have some new items as well. The problem is that I sometimes purchase new items that don't sell very well and that is multiplied by however many of them that I purchased.
Case in point.
Well........ let's call it the pink shoe debacle. I bought these in several sizes to sell on EBay but so far have only sold one pair.
So a while back I decided to see what would happen if I did a little shoe decorating. My first attempt looked like this and it sold fairly quickly. :-)
So..... I thought I would try it again but as you may already know I don't like doing the same project twice.
Here is what I came up with this time.
Now I just have to wait and see what happens. I listed them here yesterday.
Wish me luck.
(If this works I have a lot more painting to do.)
Happy Upcycling,
Thanks for stopping by.
I am off to scrape my frosty windshield.
